John E. Hill
John E. Hill is a partner in the Healthcare Strategy Group, LLC, and has over twenty years of experience in hospital/physician relations, physician recruiting, practice management and consulting.
Prior to joining the Healthcare Strategy Group, Mr. Hill was the founder and President of Physician Services of America for sixteen years. In that capacity, Mr. Hill directly managed Physician Services of America's recruiting, planning and consulting activities for hundreds of hospitals, physician groups, and multi-hospital systems.
Nationally known in the field of recruiting, physician relations and consulting, Mr. Hill has been a frequent presenter at various national and regional healthcare meetings and symposiums including: the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
He holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Augusta State University; Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Hill is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Medical Group Management Association.
David W. Miller
David Miller is a partner in the Healthcare Strategy Group, LLC,with a practice focusing on strategy development, medical staff development and retention, and business line planning.
Prior to joining Healthcare Strategy Group, Mr. Miller spent 15 years with Norton Healthcare in Louisville. During his tenure he served as COO of Norton Hospital, Vice President of Managed Care and Quality, Administrator of the Brown Cancer Center, and Vice President of Physician Services.
Mr. Miller has spoken extensively at national meetings, including the ACHE and AHA. His published articles include the topics of strategic planning, brand development, and quality.
He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a Master's Degree in Health Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Neal D. Barker
Neal D. Barker joined Healthcare Strategy Group in 2001. As Senior Project Manager/Senior Consultant, Mr. Barker provides expertise and leadership in the areas of physician manpower planning, physician practice and hospital strategic planning, physician practice mergers and consolidations, physician practice operational improvement, managed care contract evaluation, physician-hospital joint ventures, and specialty proforma projections. A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Barker holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Louisville.
Steven E. Ratliff, Jr.
Steven E. Ratliff, Jr., is a Senior Consultant with Healthcare Strategy Group. With over 12 years of management and operations experience, Mr. Ratliff’s practice is focused on the operational improvement of established practices, physician practice start up, and interim practice management. His experience includes work with the employed provider groups of multi-hospital systems, large multi-=specialty practices, and smaller independents, in capacities such as Director of Physician Practices and Practice Administrator, performing practice assessments, insurance and physician contract negotiation, restructuring daily practice operations, serving on corporate compliance committees, conducting budget review and preparation, development of provider incentive compensation plans, education and development of practice managers, and physician manpower planning. In addition to his extensive consulting and management experience, Mr. Ratliff holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Murray State University and is a member of the Medical Group Management Association. He has also been a featured speaker to various groups on practice operations topics.
M. Davis Creech
M. Davis Creech is a Senior Consultant with Healthcare Strategy Group, LLC, with a primary focus in physician practice management, operational improvement, and physician practice strategic planning. An experienced practice administrator, management consultant, and regional director of physician/hospital development, Mr. Creech’s depth of knowledge and skill brings to clients strength in practice management, operations assessment and improvement, targeted rate setting, capital project analysis, proforma projection and analysis, new practice set up, physician recruitment, new business systems implementation management, practice education and development, physician relations, and marketing strategies. Mr. Creech holds a Master’s Degree in Hospital and Health Services Administration and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University, and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Economics and Management from Centre College.
Dan J. Topp
Dan J. Topp is a Senior Consultant with Healthcare Strategy Group, LLC, with a primary focus in physician practice management, operational improvement, and physician practice strategic planning. Mr. Topp has 20 years experience as executive director and practice administrator for both small and large group, single and multiple-site, medical and surgical practices, both employed and independent. His broad experience has placed him at the helm of all aspects of practice management, from daily operations to practice expansion and reorganization, quality improvement, implementation of an EHR, service and outreach development, revision of physician compensation plans, transitioning a large group from a PHO to a private group, and piloting a pay-for-performance effort. Mr. Topp holds a Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Northern Iowa and has served as member of the Executive Board of the Arizona Medical Group Managers Association and as President of both the state and local Medical Group Managers Associations of Arizona.
Belinda C. Muench
Belinda C. Muench is a Senior Consultant with Healthcare Strategy Group, LLC, with a primary focus in physician manpower planning, physician compensation arrangements, organizational development, and hospital strategic planning. Ms. Muench brings to clients her broad experience in market/service line assessment and strategy development for both rural and urban hospitals. Ms. Muench holds a Master’s Degree in Health Administration and Bachelor’s of Science from The Ohio State University.
Matthew K. Fulton
Matthew K. Fulton is a Senior Consultant with Healthcare Strategy Group, LLC, with a primary focus on financial analysis related to physician and hospital economic relationships, including practice valuations and proforma projections. Mr. Fulton is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and holds a Master’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
David A. Kantor
David A. Kantor is President of Kantor Consulting Group, a management consulting firm which supports health care and human services organizations in addressing their planning, strategy, physician integration, mergers and acquisitions, and integrated systems issues. Prior to establishing Kantor Consulting Group, David served as a senior executive for ten years in a variety of planning, marketing, and operational roles with two integrated systems. He also served as the senior planning and marketing executive for one of the first Blue Cross/provider managed care joint ventures. David has appeared as a speaker on a variety of national and regional programs addressing health care strategy, planning, diversification, and management issues. He serves on the editorial board of Strategic Health Care Marketing and the Board of Trustees of several not-for-profit organizations, including the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development of the American Hospital Association. David received his MBA from the Wharton School.
